michh's low-tech snaps

landlubber's pleasure

Although in Germany winter this year was not far as cold as would be expected for the season, today was one of the more uncomfortable days in february. Windy wheather, some rain.

Never mind, because this way I could take the long-awaited snapshot of the waving flag in front of the official building in the "Handelshafen" (trade harbor) of Magdeburg. I tried to get this photograph for a while, but the flag was mostly hanging down in a limp fashion. The mast is not located on a boat but is put beside the street.

I didn't modify the image's contrast & sharpness too much to not loose the "bad-wheather-impression". Hope, the idea works.

In the trade harbor, the institute where I'm curently working is located, so for sure I will catch some more marine motifs the next weeks.
