Tower by the airport
Had a good day today as I won an argument with quality. Doesn't happen very often.
Dropped J off at the airport tonight and on the way back I thought of taking a star trail shot of the tower by the airport.
This is Cammo Tower and used to be an old water tower for the Cammo estate nearby. Cammo House was built in 1690s for John Menzies and was past down in the family until the 1950s. The house was said to be one of the grandest and most private estates in Edinburgh
I have seen this tower for years every time I drive to the airport but never managed to find it before now. There were a couple of large farm tractors out tonight in the field next door collecting straw bails. I kept expecting one of them to come over and see what I was doing and by doing so wrecking the photo but luck stayed with me.
Will have to go back again to setup with a bit more time to spend on it at some point.
