Spring flowers

Was surprised on our return home last night to find some flowers and a card on the doorstep from one of my neighbours. What a lovely thing!

I'd seen her the day before after a long break (funny how you don't see your neighbours so often in wintertime) and we had a catch up and I told her about my impeding surgery. How sweet to find flowers on the doorstep. Some people really surprise you with their kindness when you're going through a tough time... I am very touched. Thank you, Sam x

PS: in the background is the shiny, red, heart-shaped balloon that N gave me on Tuesday. It's going down now but I won't throw it out yet.
