Clean shower

You will be wondering why I'm showing you a photo of my shower...
Well it all relates to the 'washing' I did yesterday.
The wash was done and I have a washer drier, I separate some of the clothing so that only a small amount goes on to the drier at a time The first lot came out dry, so I put in three small hand towels and left them to dry, when the machine had finished I took them out to find they were wetter than when put in!
Now I was aware that the water in the sink wasn't running away properly for the past few days but...as usual ignored it, to my cost.
I had some Shift-it try saying that after a couple of glasses of wine, I duly poured some down the sink and left it for about 20mins.
Useless! tried some more...no joy, rang my friend upstairs for advice, she reminded me that when another resident had the same trouble it was the shower gel and hair that caused hers.
So with what was left of the shit-it I poured that down the shower drain, at which point I got a definite smell that something was wrong down there!
I had run out of shit-it so rang Gill who came down with Caustic soda and poured a lot of that down the sink.
There was a rumbling and a explosion and we both shot backwards as all-sorts of muck and water emerged all over my kitchen.
But still nothing went down properly so Gill bunged more Soda down and I went to the shower to check!!! OMG
Everything was coming up through the plug hole, my shower was awash with reddish brown water and bits of...well whatever.
But still nothing was going the way we wanted, so Gill put a load of soda down the basin....that shifted it every thing but the sink; it started to move in the right direction at last.
Gill then cleaned up for me, so now I have a very clean shower unit!
