Painting Day
A portrait is a painting with something wrong with the mouth.
John Singer Sargent
I've been working ages on a double portrait of my maternal great grandparents who originally owned our place in coastal Machiasport, Maine. We escape there in the summer, but it's a nearly 7 hour drive, so it's not often enough. Linnie & Will still need a lot of work and a lot more fog on the edge of that embankment overlooking the water...
For the Record,
This day came in mild and damp with showers, sun on the way, flurries perhaps on Saturday night.
