slow food

I started making tomorrow'a dinner back in May last year, when I planted some kidney beans in the garden and tended them a few months before harvesting the beans, drying them and storing them - some to re-plant, others to eat. In July last year, I bought two pigs and tended them through to December, when they were slaughtered, butchered and portioned up for customers and my freezer. Today I put some beans to soak and got some meat out of the freezer. Tomorrow I'll turn them into chilli con carne. I think I even have chillis from the garden too...
This is real slow food - it takes as long to make a meal as it does to make a baby.
