Gramps, Feb 15

Drove down to Windemere today with my mother, uncle and cousin to visit my Gramps. He's full of stories and adventures to tell whoever is fortunate enough to be near.

He's an ex-Scottish rugby player - he's played in the Calcutta Cup and would have been on the British Lion's Tour of South Africa if he hadn't broken his leg in a trials match that he didn't actually have to play in.

He's not quite so mobile these days, and walks with two hiking poles, arthritis in just about every joint, but he's still got his sense of humour and massive smile.
