Auckland Harbour

We (kiwilizzie and I) were at Christchurch airport before 6 this morning to fly to Auckland. We've had a day to fill, but neither of us wants to be tired for the all important Roger Waters (Pink Floyd) concert tonight, so we decided to spend a large part of the later morning/early afternoon sitting on a dock drinking tea and watching boats on the harbour.

We watched this boat (belonging to the Maritime Museum) go out a couple of times. I initially thought to blip it in sepia in keeping with the era of the boat, but it was disappointing, so here it is in full colour. We also watched the Spirit of New Zealand coming in, and many other boats out and about.

A lovely way to spend a day. Off for a nap now so Im bright and perky for tonight's concert.
