Shane

I went out to see my horse tonight. Shane is a long legged, buckskin quarter horse.

I'm a strong believer in names. I named him after my favorite cowboy movie and hero.

Shane was Jet when I bought him, I needed a hero who would keep me safe, not a speed machine that would rocket me 'round and scare the hell out of me. (Think Alan Ladd, leaning against the cabin all in buckskin in the movie of the same name getting ready to take on the bad guys).

What I really like about this photo is that I am reflected in Shane's eye taking the picture.
