How come it's still standing?

I went out for a walk this morning, it was drizzling but I wanted to blip something I'd seen, but actually that isn't what I've blipped today. When you walk along you see so much and I saw this tree, well it's only the shell left, I'm amazed at how it's still standing, towards the back it goes right down, maybe to the roots. It's best seen large.
