Field by night

The field is by my house has a different, slightly mysterious appearance in the dark. It's illuminated by the street lights and the lights of the town. This must be as dark as it ever gets, if you have the eyes of an owl.

I've just acquired cable release, and a very cheap Lidl tripod for shots like this. My first attempts were with a beanbag, but that seems to move slightly during long shots.

Thank you for the all the kind comments after my 100th blip yesterday. I've been a bit over-committed for the last few days, and began to wonder if the 100th would also be my last. However I have some sort of picture for each day since, and I'm catching up now.
