Corstorphine Hospital

Having lived in Corstorphine for 12 years, I am amazed that this is the first time I have visited the local hospital, but then again it is a convalescent hospital and the only reason I am visiting it today is to blip it.

Originally built as the Royal Infirmary Convalescent Home in a Gothic and Romanesque style in 1866, it was designed by architects Peddie and Kinnear. The original overall effect of the building and its location has been destroyed over the years by a horrendous 1960's tatty glass conservatory extension put on the front, as well as the surrounding grounds being built on with poxy houses.

Had a lovely lazy Saturday today, having gone to see The Muppets with Kryptomart for a second time, as it is such a wonderful film.

Let's Dance for Comic Relief is back on the telly tonight, hurrah!

Have a great Saturday evening, all!
