Having Fun
While their Mums sat inside the restaurant/cafe drinking hot coffee, these two young ladies were frolicing at the waters edge. Fairly well wrapped up because the wind was very strong.
I came out to Elwood today to go to Pinot South. It's a 2-hour session all about Pinot Noir, organised by 5 of the better Pinot producers. Each of the 5 winemakers gives a brief talk on some aspect of the chosen theme. This years was "Does Australia need further Geographical Indicators?". It was interesting, especially tasting the different wines from different blocks in the same or nearby vineyards and trying to spot the likenesses and differences.
Pinot South is held at Sails on the Bay, in the events room that belongs to the restaurant/cafe, so naturally I had to have lunch here too. It was very tasty (but rather pricey) and perhaps the chocolate plate for dessert was a bit excessive... but hey, you only live once!
Back to the City and a relaxing night watching the box!
