Do you ever have a day with a few 'almost' pictures?

I practiced with my new telephoto lens including raindrops from branches and footballs in the garden, but nothing stood out in the final review. The clear sky at twilight following the earlier rain won me over. The big advantage of winter trees is that they make great silhouettes against a clear sky. This is one of the few pictures I didn't want to crop or process.

We have a full house tomorrow but it is quiet today.
