Dinner Brouhaha
This weekend is the Great Backyard Bird Count for North America. I have checked off my list for today. I normally have quite a few birds visiting the backyard until today. Maybe it was the very warm day we had. I had most of the regular species to show up, just not as many. Anyway in honor of the bird count I did sneak in a photo of the finches at the smaller feeder. Usually there is a brouhaha every few minutes and this was one of them. The yellow birds are of course the golden finches and the red ones are house finches.
We're in the cross hairs of a winter storm that is suppose to start tomorrow. Can you believe it, 60 degrees F today and snow on the way. We're suppose to drive to Boone, North Carolina tomorrow to visit daughter. Between work & classes she hasn't had much time to come home. I'm cooking some of her favorite foods, then freezing individual portions and taking those to her. I think she would appreciate that very much. However depending on how much snow, when & where it starts etc etc will have an effect on travelling tomorrow. I think maybe the heavier snow is suppose to start later in the day so if we leave early we should be o.k.
Anyway, I do hate to miss so many blip days recently. Even with the longer days, it seems overcast in the evenings and just to dark for outdoor photos when I get home. Such is life isn't it :D
ps. brouhaha is one of my favorite words, it's a good day when you can incorporate it into a blip....
