Chaffinches

Got out into the garden briefly today between showers - nothing too strenuous, just a bit of feeder filling and setting up a little photo set in an attempt to get a photo of the bullfinch pair. Plenty of good viewings of them today, but alas, no pictures. I did see a sparrow hawk fly over, but my picture today is of one of our many chaffinches; the males are colouring up nicely as the breeding season approaches, and you can just make out an admiring female perching behind him.
