Wakefield with a difference

Managed to get out for a walk round Wakefield this morning as C was still at Grandma's. Avoided the city centre and headed to the older area - the old court, council buildings, the college and St Johns with it's Georgian houses.

It is easy to forget how many beautiful old buildings there are here. However I was shocked at how many changes there have been - so much new building going on, including the new council offices and work on the college. The road layout is changing too and there are red and white plastic barriers all over the place.

Enjoyed my walk but was a bit disappointed with my photos but had a play in photoshop and quite liked this effect!
