Arthur's Seat Sunrise

This morning I followed Yoga Mamma's advice, and climbed to Arthur's Seat to see the sunrise. It was gorgeous! I left the hotel at 6:15 when it was still pretty much pitch black, sat down on an icy rock at the top at about 7, then, while shivering in the freezing cold wind (temperature was slightly below 0*C), saw all the wonderful colours of the dawn develop across the sky until sunrise at 7:30. I got back to the hotel at 8:15, and am now back in bed, trying my best to defrost my bum and thighs. It was definitely worth it though!

Last day in Edinburgh today. I shall try to make the most of it, but first an hour of sleep before packing up and checking out, or I won't last until 19 when my train leaves for Durham!
