On the Top

This morning was beautiful sunshine, so after looking after the cat we headed on to the top of the wolds.We parked just outside Londesborough and walked over the top and down a steep hill...which is one mile long....into the village of Nunburnholme. A beautiful walk but we had the hill to climb on the way back. On getting back to the car we spotted a couple of Buzzards and a Red Kite so we headed off to where they were. It was very windy and cold and they flew into the distance. Spotted two more Kites further on and as we got there they were flying 30ft above our heads. I could not get them in focus so just banged off a couple of shots and stood watching them....amazing sight and so close.
