3 minutes from 7 hours of seemingly fruitless work trying to create the perfect etching, captured with my box taped to the ceiling surveying the scene below. The colours didn't seem to fit, the lines didn't seem to connect - my outcomes didn't match up to what I sought after (as ever the problem).
Printmaking allows you to make a limitless edition, but it's not how it seems. You can churn out print after print but as you peel the paper away from the plate there is still the bliss of the unrepeatable, and the chance of the perfect mistake, but sometimes it just doesn't happen.
''The cars hiss by my window
Like the waves down on the beach
The cars hiss by my window
Like the waves down on the beach
I got this girl beside me
But she's out of reach''
