Wet, wet, wet . . .

This used to be the main/only road through our village but in the 1960s the council built a new one, down along the shore, in front of the houses. There are drainage ditches running along side it, but they can hardly cope with the run off from the hill, let alone all the rain we've been having pouring down on us for the past few months!

Even at the height of summer it is never completely dry, there are always deep muddy wallowing holes for Ollie to enjoy himself in! These are maintained by an annoying local farmer who likes to hurtle along it in his tractor or 4 wheel drive! Still, it means he isn't hurtling through the village!

Lots of sleety snow showers today - looks lovely, but very raw and cold.
