what we were hoping for

all along you might have noticed that the weather conditions were less then optimal. if the poor lighting, constant clouds, and daily usage of rain jackets and pack covers didn't give it away, let me tell you how elated we all were when we covered the distance of three days in one and made it straight to the trailhead where our van was waiting for us. after all the terrible weather we had this gorgeous sunset (took place near midnight, i might add. in southern Alaska you're lucky to have three hours of semi-darkness before the sunrises again) to greet us.
