Stream Crossing
When the water is too deep and too quick we have to found a narrow patch and toss our 65 pound packs across and then hop from rock to rock or take a giant leap and hope to not get too wet. This was one of the days more benign crossings. After 6 days of rain 'Chitna Creek' was waist deep. We decided we had to turn around and backtrack our way out of the wilderness because with this much rain Boulder Creek could be chest high and that is far too dangerous to cross.
