Day 5 - Mumbai

Morning spent in the office but the afternoon free so it was onto a tuk-tuk to Bandra station then onto a train into central Mumbai for a quick blast of sightseeing. The usual culture shock after being cosseted in the hotel - most of it hitting you at Bandra station where slums went right upto the track and debris and rubbish was just everywhere. If anything the contrast between the rich and poor is even more noticeable on this trip than what it was four years ago when I was last here. Shocking.

Good to walk around Mumbai again though, heading from Churchgate station through Oval Maiden and then down to Colaba for dinner at Leopolds. Didn't look any different to 2007, with the exception that there are now armed guards at the door. Biryani and a cold draft Kingfisher went down well.
