Return visit

Up sharp to take older daughter to Edinburgh to catch the train back to Birmingham. Half term holiday has gone by so quickly!

As it was coffee time we went to the Scottish National Portrait Gallery for a return visit. Coffee and fruit scone - very tasty - and I picked up one of the free recipe sheets at the till for how to make their fruit scones!

We went up to the second floor and thoroughly enjoyed looking at the fabulous portraits in the galleries there. The information panels beside the portraits are very well written.

Both inside and out, the building itself is a work of art.
