all this useless beauty

Ballbearings

I stood in the cycle shop listening to the man explain what I had to do to replace the thing that had broken on my back wheel. He explained about the new bits needed to use, the old bits to keep on to, and how to grease the ballbearings...

I looked, as Bill Hicks once said ' like a dog being shown a card trick'..., so today I spent a lot of time trying to put all the right bits together. I made it as far as the end of my street before the whole thing collapsed.

Time to return, humbly with a bag of right and wrong bits, the wheel and assorted ballbearings, to the man in the cycle shop.
