What a beautiful day! Went for a wander down by the Bollin. After trudging through the woods the path opened out onto the fields that you can see here.

If you look closely you will recognise this as an oxbow lake, formed when a loop in the river (flowing to the right) becomes separated from the main flow.

Needless to say our football ended up in the lake, warranting some 'emergency' ball rescue action!
