Failed Experiment

Unfortunately this attempt to photograph a splash failed. First of all the commander mode on my camera packed in. This meant I had to use on camera flash which caused all sorts of reflection problems. I didn't have time to dig out my radio triggers. The camera then decided to randomly refuse to take a picture. In frustration I gave in, with no real prospect of a decent shot. This was the only shot that resembled anything like the effect I wanted, albeit it falls short big time.
It has been a good camera, but it really is on its last legs. Even a Nikon service last year hasn't really improved its reliability, but then it has been dropped twice since then.
On the happy side I have ordered a new camera. On the sad side I have no idea when I will get it. So in the meantime I will persevere.
