ISS Not There
Best of it is, there was huge big patch of clear sky 15 minutes before this. Would've seen the International Space Station no problem at all. But, the clouds moved in and instead of a nice arc of the ISS passing underneath Jupiter and Venus and flying straight through Orion's crotch you've got a shot over the rooftops of Alloa that shows up nicely how much light pollution we have over the Forth Valley.
No worries though, there's plenty more opportunities to catch the ISS coming along but I'm not so sure I'll head up here again on my own. Your imagination starts to work overtime when you're standing on the edge of a wood in the pitch black with some noisy nocturnal bird (or squirrel with night vision) activity going on amongst the branches above your head. I'm just a big feartie.
Week off work all done, back to the salt mine tomorrow.
