In the run up to Christmas, ahem 6th December, the long suffering dishwasher finally gave up the ghost and the insurance/home holiday cover people were called. After a few days the repair men came to see our dear friend and reckoned that it could be repaired although I was pretty sure, that 7 years and two repairs later, there was not much keeping Old Bessie, or Conchita as we called her, out of the scrap heap. We were supposed to be called back and the repair carried out before the 24th of December. Christmas came and went and no calls were received and eventually into the new year, a spare part was located to carry out the repair and a date was arranged for the repair to take place. They came along, this time the boss, not the younger fellow, he started looking into it and quickly advised that after all, it would need to be repaired. Now, we had a dishwasher suggested for us, except it didn't fit, we finally selected one, which was scheduled for delivery one day, then out of stock the next and when I spoke to some helpful bloke in Acme Dishwasher corp, he reckoned the best I could do was to go and look round shops for a suitable dishwasher. You might need to click replay on youtube by this point. A suitable dishwasher was finally localised, so that is the replacement for the replacement to replace our dead dishwasher, we removed Conchita and a bit of wood which was going to be preventing the new machine to be installed and the final delivery was set for today......

Oh yes, I think you can see this coming.

So the replacement is now sitting in our kitchen!!! Yay.

Unfortunately, given the hose pipe which comes fitted with it, we will be unable to fit said dishwasher.

Tune in next week, well the delivery guy very optimistically said, by the end of this week, but hey I don't think he realises this is a longer running saga, for more thrills and spills in the Club107 kitchen sink drama.
