Awakening.

Went for a wander along the Stroudwater Navigation canal this afternoon at one of my favourite spots, St. Cyr church and Nutshell Bridge.

There was allsorts to see, from formation Mallards, to some sloe berries still hanging around and the ubiquitous, obstreperous Coots and Moorhens. The main picture is, of course, some Hazel catkins. The afternoon was rounded off with a beautiful sunset that lasted about a minute before disappearing completely. Ephemeral beauty indeed.
