Maida Vale Tube

This is inside the Maida Vake Tube Station. It opened in 1915 and is on the Bakerloo Line. It came top in the category in the National Heritage Awards for modernisation in 2010. The award recognised the work LU has done to restore the many original heritage features such as the large, attractive mosaics of the famous Tube logo or 'roundel', red terracotta facade and the extensive tiled wall finishes.
