a glorious day for a run

As far as running goes, we couldn't have asked for better weather! Temps in the 40s to begin...in the 50s when we finished. Sun shining on us most of the way to brighten our moods but not to heat us up too much. And I started and ended with friends...and I rather enjoyed myself most of the way. The hills between miles 10 and 12 were trying as ever and helped me miss my super-secret goal time by about 2 minutes - always nice to leave something for the next go round! But coming off of a cold that made me question whether doing this race was even a good idea, I'll take exactly the run that I had! And it meant that my time was a palindrome...which I do love in a dorky sort of way. As always, so very grateful to be able to do these things and so very grateful today to share the run with so many friends...and even one student and his mom who were working the finish line! (And a few others who texted to wish me luck...yep, I'm feeling very blessed indeed.)
