Mastic ice cream

Oh yes lately I have got a new gadget: an ice cream maker, not that you really need one to make ice cream but it is definitively quicker ;)

So today I have decide to give it a go making up a mastic ice cream.
Mastic is a resin obtained from the mastic tree from the Greek island of Chios see here the story is fascinating.

I have tried it the first time in Chios; I was there during harvest time and was amazing to see the peoples working to collect the golden droplets.
It has a particular flavour either you like it or hates it, I loved it ;)
