Balbardie Primary School , Bathgate

I live 500 hundred yards from this school now , my moth and father live twenty yards from it and my grandparents lived along the road from this spectacular looking school as well . I never went here as a child but I know a lot of people who did attend here and all have nothing but fond memories of this place .
I have been trying to research its past on the internet but I am finding it nigh on impossible to find anything about its history ( which is annoying for someone like me who strives knowledge )

What I can say about this school is that it wins the cup for best decorated float in the annual Newlands Day celebrations , in fact I have only ever known this school picking up first prize , much to the annoyance of the other schools in the area ( in fact a lot of the schools don't even bothering entering now )

I love the style of this school and it looks so much better than the 1960s effort I attended ( pic to follow )
