Lima calling

Current economic constraints mean that doing Richard's annual appriasal meant that the NHS weren't for funding my flight out to Lima in Peru.(before anyone gets worried - they never did before either)

So here is Richard on my ipad via Skype - he's working and doing development work in Peru and is training to do a Marathon as well. It suprised me how effective a substitute for face to face contact this was - nowhere near as good in someways, but way better than the telephone, visual as well as audible non verbal elements of communication is so much more than the words.
Richard works in a language, a culture and system that is not "his own", I wonder even with the wonders of modern technology how much communication we miss across what were once borders.

I had meant to talk to him about what guinea pig tasted like as research for Todays Special, but forgot. Perhaps she'll be able to tell us all in due course herself.
