Where My Heart Is

Woke up at about half 8 today and was wide awake! very unusual, though i think it was because i got so much sleep yesterday!

I went for a jog then decided that it was such a nice day (too good to waste in a library) so i walked up Dumyat mountain. Not actually sure if it is technically a mountain as it's only 418m, still - it's an absolute mission to climb. Managed to get up, take a lot of photos, and get back down in 3 hours... not too shabby!

By the time i got back my legs just wanted to give up so i did. Sat and watched Family Guy while very slowly getting ready for a flat party tonight.

My friend Shelley (As featured on this Blip) threw a flat party tonight, there was a ridiculous amount of people there - couldn't even move at one point! I only brought 6 beers with me as i'm trying to cut back on the alcohol. Party was going brilliantly... Then there was a complaint from another flat. The porter came in and told us he was 'shutting down the party', he then proceeded to call security to get everyone out of the flat...... i managed to hide in someone's room till they were gone.
It's fair play that they would request we are quiet and give us a warning but that never happened - he just stormed in and stopped it. It makes me really angry that they treat us like children and get all power crazy. We are students, this is true, but we are also adults who are paying (more than it would cost off-campus!) to live in these flats - they demand respect, yet give none out themselves.

Aaaanyway rant over, i just really hate power hungry belittling people!

After they left, the party continued as everyone came out of their hiding spots - the porter never came back and i left at about 1 because i was tired.
