The Dick House (1900)

This is the 8th in the weekly series of historic houses in Wilmington, NC. This one was built for William Dick and his wife Nellie. Dick was the chief passenger clerk of the Atlantic Coast Railroad Line, and was also a real estate developer. The house is of neo classical style and is located on 113 Nun Street. Dick's wife Nellie, was in the Keenan-Flagler wedding party.

Also in 1900, Giacomo Puccini premiered the opera Tosca at Teatro Costanzi, in Rome.
