Golden(ish) Moss
Back to work today after 5 days off (grimaces). I do enjoy my job, but somehow being at home has so much more appeal! And I just don't 'do' getting up early very well! At least it gave me the chance during my lunch break to have a scout round the front grounds at County Hall again - and there was little to be found. Most of the fungi on the felled tree trunks now seem to have given up the ghost - even the brackets. But I came across some moss on one of the trunks - and 2 patches were this colour as opposed to the rest which was the usual green. Affected by the weather perhaps?
Back to my fave haunt of Bracondale wood tomorrow I reckon - hopefully to find something other than the Jews Ears which are so prevalent at the moment ....
For the benfit of Roy, yesterday I took a pic of my Tom (head and neck only) - so here he is - definitely showing his age now :-((
