Lets play Ball !!!

Would you believe it that my holidays are officially over......15 days....how come it never feels like you've been off for the time stated!!!

Dayshift today......'Southern Spirit was on and receiving 595,000 barrels....she's now finished and on her way. Hildegaard coming tomorrow. Keeps me out of mischief !!! ;0)

Quick blip tonight......this is a basketball......love basketball......I follow Glasgow Rocks, Chicago Bulls and almost every other team in the NBA and the Great Britain Basketball team.

I took Mamma G and Handsome Boy to see the Great Britain Basketball team play in Glasgow.....Luol Deng from the Chicago Bulls was playing for us.......when we got there it was mobbed. Handsome Boy saw basketballs for sale, not very expensive, and asked if he could have one. I felt suckered obliged to buy him one......it was so busy I said ..."Wait till half time!".....not a problem.

Halftime came, we went to buy the Ball.......it was so damn noisey....there were 2 types of basketball left......I asked how much....the guy behind the counter said £8.....I thought.....I handed over what I thought was a £20 note, the guy frowned at first then rubbed his fingers together....a bit like a bank clerk does counting cash....and hey presto...there were 2 x £20 notes.....!!!!!!!

Honestly .....I was more gobsmacked than you!!!! ;0)

He never handed one back he took both to the till....Handsome Boy got the Basketball....I thought the guy obviously knew I gave too much but was getting the change then handing BACK my newly seperated £20 with the change........I got £2 back !!! 2 bloody pound!!

I said " EH!! How much did you say it was?"....just then it went silent...."£38".....I went "WHAT!!!".....I turned, looked out the main doors and Handsome Boy was standing outside in the rain bouncing his newly found megabucks bloody basketball in the carpark !!!! ;0)

Couldn't even return it now..........so I joined him for a game lol ;0)

Moral of the story :a fool and his money are easily parted Dont buy anything in a noisy atmosphere....and keep your kid by your side ....just in case !!!! ;0)
