English Under Statement

This is the classic English understatement!

I found this rather dull and characterless plague today.

Apologies for the lack of definition but is was badly eroded

It is barely legible but has considerable historical significance as it marks the location of the death of: -

Edward III in 1377
Henry VIII in 1503
Elizabeth I in 1608

There was obviously something substantial here once but all that is left is the plaque and a gatehouse that I may blip later.

I assume that they are actually buried in Westminster Cathedral but it seems strange that such an important piece of history is marked as this
