Without Malice

By aforethought

The Clue

After a request from a colleague to pick a favourite book, and after deciding I had to narrow the problem domain, I thought about the books that shaped my youth.

Before my teenage years I was already an avid fan of the Lord of the Rings, and I soon found the epic Hitchhikers and Dune "trilogies". It seems I liked books that came in threes...

Before leaving school I was educated in the philosophies of The Dice Man and Catch 22, the science of Cosmos, and the beauty of Watchmen. I soon realised that I could never pick a favourite. Only a representation.

These and many more are worth a visit of your mind if you have not read them. They may or may not be great books, but they all endure in my mind.

Sine non quo.
