This is the village of Shirakawago. An amazing feat of architecture in the middle of Japan. The weather couldn't have been any better. Despite the -4 degrees, the sun kept things warm. I was never a Winter person but the dynamicism of Japan made me think otherwise. In the most dire of circumstances, albeit weather in my spoilt case, there is so much beauty to be seen and only if you look for it. Hiking was never my thing either, but nature's face is too good to ignore.

When there is a spirit so strong, your heart will lead you there.
