Surf's Up Dude

Sun, sand, surf and a few sneaky beers. Vaughan from Absolute Media invited Ikon down to the Burleigh Breaka Pro to watch the competition round up on Sunday. We caught the semis and the final of the men's comp as it went down in a fairly casual 1-2ft swell with some light northerly winds. Despite the average conditions the surfers still managed to turn it on for the crowd packed onto Burleigh headland, by linking some smooth carves together and popping some big aerial manoeuvres. Sunshine Coast local Julian Wilson took out the all QLD final in style. There is nothing like a Queensland summer.
