Innocent Railway Tunnel HDR

Me and one of my flatmates decided to try and find the Innocent Railway Tunnel that we'd heard about from some friends. A quick google and a look at some satellite maps and we found the entrance, just near Pollock Halls.

The tunnel is 515m long, noticeably cooler than the outside air and a bit damp... but all in all it was quite exciting!

It's a pleasant cycle from the start of the tunnel to Duddingston Village as it's gently downhill. The same cannot be said for our trip back along Old Church Lane... it was so windy that we had to walk our bikes for most of it!
