Swan's Way
One of the first signs of Spring is normally the return of "our" swans. They appear when the river level is low enough to reveal the island they nest on, and they leave a few weeks after the goslings have hatched. Normally we only see them a couple of other times a year when they make fleeting visits. Usually they chose times when I don't have a camera on me.
This year, with the river staying low, they have been on the scene since Christmas. Obviously they are wary with the dogs, but today one of them decided to accompany us on our walk along the river.
So bearing in mind that this is a diary I thought I would blip this photo, even though it isn't the best of today's photos.
I've survived another technology failure today. I accidentally deleted a number of photos from within LR just after having deleted them from the SD card. No worries of course, because I always do a back up on import, and anyway the files were still in the recycle bin.
So everything looked recoverable...until my PC decided to switch itself off in the middle of the process. I did eventually get everything back, but at the expense of a few frayed nerves and the use of the odd four letter word.
