Flowers

Does anyone know what these are? They're so dainty and pretty. I think I might start photo themes every week. Flowers then maybe colors. Hmmm, this could be fun! Maybe that will help inspire me to bring out my real camera and not just use my phone. Speaking of phones, for an iphone 4 with a 5 mp camera and a flash, mine doesn't work good at all!! Maybe I dropped it too many times. The focus and quality is usually very poor.

I have been practicing my Photography more though. Even broke down and bought Lightroom 3. Have been messing around with it following tutorials on Youtube. There are so many, but I managaed to find one or two that have a series just for LR. There's alot to learn and for someone who only used the very basic editing, crop, color enhance, and b/w. this program is overwhelming! But from what I've learned so far, I really like it. Now the problem I've been having is the colors look so much better on my lcd screen and printed come out much darker or w/orange tint. I've been told that my monitor might need calibrating, but I can't afford the gizmo that does that. Plus not all pics come out too dark or orange/red looking. So Maybe I'm just editing too much. What I need is decent lighting. At least one or a DIY system. I've seen quite a few youtube tutorials one that too. I'm also reading books. Scott Kelby seems very good, explains things for beginners and he's funny. Anyway, I really want to improve in Portraits, but think of myself as more a Landscape/Wildlife and candid people photographer. Those don't bring in the $ though. unless of course you work for National Geographic. Now wouldn't that be a job?!
