Ich dien

Maybe it's because I'm Welsh, but some mental short circuit immediately associated the three feathers that I found lying in this arrangement in a corner of campus with the Prince of Wales's heraldic badge.

Those of us lucky enough to have represented Wales at one sport or another have had these emblazoned on our chest, whether or not we are of a royalist persuasion.

I suspect these belonged to a gull that had had a run-in with a crow, there were several others in the vicinity. They were ruffling in the wind, which is my only excuse for a slightly less than sharp image. The rain drops are quite pretty though.
