The Clock Game

This young woman and her three charges (I suspect she's their nanny, not their mom) were playing a delightful counting game. One of them (an older child, out of this picture) stood away, facing them, like a Mother May I game. The three would shout, "What time is it?" The one would pick a time: "11:00!" then the three would take 11 steps forward. If one shouted "Lunch time!" they'd all start running. They took turns being the clock.

It was so dear to watch this. The children were having such fun, the nanny was thoroughly enjoying herself. The only one getting impatient was Liza, who had to wait until I was sated and had enough photos to choose from (too many, really).

I love this little neighborhood park, there is always something fun, funny, endearing, poignant or exciting happening here.
