All I Want for ... Is My Two Front Teeth
Had to take a few pics of my boy this morning in his new shirt, and showing off the tooth he lost today (the top right center). :)
This morning Gary spend some father-son bonding time with Loren. Loren has officially reached 'teenager' status because he wants some clothes at a specific store called "Tilly's" in the mall. Gary took him there. He gave in and let him pick out 2 pairs of skinny jeans, a couple shirts, and a black/teal belt made out of a seatbelt from a Ford. I never thought in a million years we would have skinny jeans in one of our closets. One of my favorite parenting sayings applies in this case "You choose your battles". This was one choice we let Loren have and a battle not worth fighting. I have to admit, when he tried them on when he got home, they look pretty nice on him. BUT I think it's because they weren't the 'super skinny' jeans. haha I'm thinking from here on out, my thrift store tendencies are going to become harder and harder to fulfill his emerging style. Liam was THRILLED beyond belief that Gary brought him back a black/white checkered seat-belt belt that fits him. So thrilled, in fact, that we heard that belt clicking all day long.
We enjoyed a night out at Shirasoni's for the first time. The boys were very entertained by the chef preparing the food right in front of us on the grill. He made an onion volcano complete with fire erupting from the top for them and did lots of tricks with the kitchen tools...tossing tools in the air, breaking eggs mid-air, throwing a couple peas our way, etc. :D Food was wonderful, if only my stomach could handle actually eating AT a restaurant and not just taking it home in a to-go container. Someday I hope to be cured of this ambiguous illness.
Afterwards we attended a friend's dessert/housewarming party. The kids played while the adults chatted and snacked on divine sweets.
